Went to the late show of An American Werewolf in London down at the Vue Cinemas in Fulham. It was either that or the Michael Jackson movie. Yeah, not really a big ol' dilemma on which to choose. American Werewolf has got to be one of the first movies that ever scared the living bejeebies out of me. It came out in 1981 for those whippersnappers who have no idea what I'm talking about. I was 13 and getting into all sorts of trouble. My mates and I managed to sneak in to one of the cinemas showing it and we sat way in the back. Jesus H. Christ, I remember screaming. The guys never let me live it down. It was so nice to be utterly engrossed in something other than what was going on in my life at that time. I think that solidified my love for movies, and horror/scifi movies specifically.

Watching it again took me back, and while it really made me feel ancient, it was great too. There was hardly anyone else in the theater, even this close to Halloween. Nice. I ate my weight in popcorn.

I have no plans for the big holiday tomorrow. I'm not sure if I like that, or not. We'll see what comes up.

There is a theory which states that if ever for any reason anyone discovers what exactly the Universe is for and why it is here it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another that states that this has already happened. )
